Back end

TONG Global is a China marketing agency with offices in London and Shanghai, connecting luxury, real estate and consumer brands with Chinese audiences. Heathrow is on the case study wall. I built the back end behind it.

The brief

An agency site lives or dies on the case study wall, and the wall goes stale the moment it needs a developer. New work lands monthly; awards land quarterly; the insights feed is the reason anyone comes back.

So the model had to be genuinely handed over. Not fields a developer fills in on the agency’s behalf, but a structure the marketing team can run without asking permission.

What I built

Back end only. Case studies, insights and awards are content types with their own fields, and every section on the home page reads from them — the slider, the recognition strip, the latest insights — so publishing a case study updates the home page as a side effect rather than as a second task.

Enquiries run through Gravity Forms into the agency’s existing process.

Content model

A case wall that updates itself

The home page slider reads from the case studies type, so publishing new work puts it on the front page without anyone editing the front page. That is the difference between a wall that stays current and one that gets rebuilt annually.

Content model

Awards as records

Recognition is entries rather than a logo strip in markup — the agency adds a shortlist the week it happens.

Content model

An insights feed the team runs

Market trends and strategy pieces publish straight to the home page feed. For an agency selling expertise, the blog is the product demo.
