ETE is a Ukrainian womenswear label — dresses, knitwear, bodysuits, sets. A WooCommerce store built for the Ukrainian market, which means its own payment provider, its own courier network and its own way of getting stock into the catalogue. I built the front end and the back end.
The brief
Selling clothes online in Ukraine is not the default WooCommerce path. Payments go through Monobank, delivery goes through Nova Poshta with its own branch network and waybill numbers, and neither is a plugin you install and forget.
The real work was the import. The client keeps stock in their own format, with their own sizing, colour and length conventions, and no interest in changing it to suit a shop. So the import had to bend to the data rather than the other way round: read what they actually produce and turn it into variable products with the right attributes, every time, without a person checking each row.
What I built
I built the front end and the back end. Size, colour and length are product attributes rather than free text, so a dress exists once with its variations rather than as five listings, and the catalogue filters on them.
The import was written specifically for the client’s format — their columns, their naming, their sizing — and produces variable products with attributes and images attached. Payment runs through Monobank and delivery through Nova Poshta, including branch selection and waybills, so the order flow matches how Ukrainian customers actually expect to buy.
An import built to the client’s format
The catalogue is fed by an importer written around the file the client already produces — their columns, their sizing, their colour names — turning it into variable products with attributes and images. Bending the shop to the data was cheaper than teaching the business a new spreadsheet.
Ukrainian payment and delivery
Monobank for payment, Nova Poshta for delivery including branch selection and waybill numbers. Neither is optional in this market and neither works out of the box.
Size, colour and length as attributes
Variations are real product attributes rather than separate listings, which is what makes the category filters work and keeps one dress as one product.
